Auto thefts, road accidents and robberies on the rise

Murders and suicides on the decline

The number of security incidents has continued to rise during the first trimester of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020.

The following tables show that:

-Auto thefts have increased by 51% and soared 263% in one year (April 2020-April 2021), with an average of 4.6 stolen cars per day.

-Robberies have increased by 185% during the first trimester of 2020-2021 and by 268% during April 2020-April 2021, with an average of 5.1 robberies per day.

 -Road accidents have increased by 12% from January 2020 to March 2021 and by 79.5% from April 2020 to April 2021.

-Murders and suicides have declined respectively by 16.2% and 16.7%.
