Robberies, murders, suicides and road accidents (2019-2020)

Security incidents have risen markedly in 2020 compared to 2019. Robberies and murders have increased respectively by 57.4% and 91%, while suicides and road accidents have declined by 13.4% and 25.6%.

Robberies: an increase of 57.4%

Robberies have shown an increase of 57.4% in 2020 compared to 2019. As shown in Table No. 1 below, they have increased by 65% between Decembers 2019-2020.

Murders: an increase of 91%

As shown in Table No. 2 below, the number of people killed in 2020 has increased by 91% compared to 2019. It has increased by 66.7% between Decembers 2019-2020.

Suicides: a decline of 13.4%

As shown in Table No. 3 below, suicides have declined by 13.4% in 2020 compared to 2019. They have decreased by one case between Decembers 2019-2020.

Road accidents: a decline of 25.6%

Road accidents, fatalities and injuries have respectively decreased by 25.6%, 17.9% and 22.7% in 2020 compared to 2019. As shown in Table No. 4 below, road accidents have increased by 90% between Decembers 2019-2020, the number of fatalities has stabilized, while the number of injuries has increased by 157.6%.
