Lebanese travelers and emigrants (2018-2019)


The number of Lebanese emigrants is yearly increasing due to socio-economic crises and employment decline in Lebanon. As shown in the following table, 66,806 Lebanese have left the country without return between mid-December 2018 and mid-December 2019, compared to 33,841 during the same period in 2018, i.e. an increase of 32,965 Lebanese or 97.5%.

Their number reached 19,263 in the last three months of 2019, compared to 14,129 during the same period in 2018, i.e. an increase of 5,134 Lebanese or 36%.
