The volume of sales contracts registered at the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC) by the end of September 2017 numbered 4,631 contracts (compared to 7,993 contracts in August). The prices set out in the contracts amounted to LBP 816 billion (compared to LBP 1,647 billion in August). As for the fees collected by the government, they totaled LBP 44 billion (compared to LBP 104 billion in August) as property registration tax ranges between 5 and 6%.
