November 1
The civil society movement rallies from Sed El-Bouchrieh to Karantina in protest over the garbage crisis.
Hezbollah files a lawsuit against talk show host Dima Sadek on account of slander, after the latter has allegedly accused the party of financial corruption and its protection of drug cartels on her show of October 28 with Faisal Abdul Sater. Dima Sadek’s accusations were embedded in her questions to Sater.
November 2
In the presence of the Defense Minister and the Army Commander, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil announces from the Defense Ministry a legal, yet exceptional measure aimed to pay overdue salaries to the army and the army command hopes that the delay will not be repeated.
An army intelligence force raids a nightclub in search of a drug dealer Mahdi Zouaiter and the shootout results in the death of the suspect along with five of his friends, including two young women, and two members of the army.
Mount Lebanon Prosecutor Judge Claude Karam files a lawsuit against ten people, five of which are Saudi nationals, including Prince Abdul Mohsen Bin Walid, on charges of smuggling Captagon pills and refers the suspects to Mount Lebanon’s First Investigative Judge.
November 3
The national dialogue table postponed until November 17.
The Parliament’s Bureau Committee convenes and prepares the legislative session’s agenda without specifying its date. The agenda includes the Nationality Recovery Law but excludes the parliamentary election draft law, which draws protest from the Lebanese Forces.
MP Talal Erslan announces that residents of Choueifat have rejected the creation of a landfill in the Costa Brava area in Khaldeh.
In response to the campaigns targeting and accusing him of illicit enrichment including the allegations raised by a report on LBC’s Haki Jales (Straight Talk) program, the Head of the Free Patriotic Movement Gebran Bassil assures that he does not own a private jet and that he has inherited his real estates he has now from his father and grandfather.
November 4
TV anchor Dima Sadek appears before the public prosecutor Judge Imad Qbalan in the case filed against her by Hezbollah and denies having thrown the alleged accusations at the party. In solidarity with Sadek, Sadek’s colleagues gather outside the court room during the hearing.
Speaker Nabih Berri calls for a legislative session on November 12 and 13 and says constitutionality means protecting the country instead of aggravating dysfunction.
Lebanese women protest in Riadh Solh Square in Beirut’s Downtown demanding equal rights to transfer their Lebanese nationality to their foreign-born spouses and children.
November 5
Explosion at Ersal targets a meeting for the Committee of Qalamoun Scholars, leaving four dead and ten injured and the finger is pointed at ISIS.
US ambassador Richard Jones arrives in Lebanon to take charge of the embassy’s tasks until the arrival of the new head of mission Elizabeth Richard.
MP Ibrahim Kanaan visits LF leader Samir Geagea to coordinate positions regarding the legislative session and says the agreed upon items must be approved, not only included on the agenda.
November 6
The Lebanese army shells militant posts in the outskirts of Ersal in retaliation of the explosion that targeted an army patrol injuring five members.
US chargé d’affaires Richard Jones initiates his activity with a visit to PM Tammam Salam and reiterates the US commitment to support Lebanon. Jones visits speaker Nabih Berri later.
Ghassan Bin Jeddo, Head of the Board of Directors at Al-Mayadeen TV channel, holds a press conference responding to Arabsat’s decision to ban the Al-Mayadeen broadcasting.
November 7
Head of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea visits Patriarch al-Rai in Bkerki and says the garbage crisis is much more precarious than the Parliament’s failure to hold a legislative session.
Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji inaugurates a choppers’ airstrip at Notre Dame de Secours University Hospital in Jbeil.
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg arrives in Lebanon and assures after meeting Lebanese officials of her country’s support for Lebanon in addressing the refugee crisis.
MP Sami Gemayyel assures that there won’t be any legislation amidst presidential vacuum.
November 8
Beirut’s Marathon kicks off under the auspices of the Central Bank and police forces close a number of roads and divert traffic away from the route.
Backtracking on his earlier approval to hold a legislative session, Patriarch al-Rai says in Sunday’s sermon that the higher priority is the election of a President of the Republic.
The General Security arrests a spy network in the south headed by a Syrian that is said to be collaborating with Israel. A member of the espionage network works for the UNIFIL.
March 8 and March 14 Forces split the two seats of the Bar Association in Tripoli.
November 9
In his press conference, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea urges Speaker Nabih Berri not to kill constitutionality and former PM Saad Hariri to maintain the legacy of his father.
Patriarch al-Rai calls on Parliament to devise a special technical measure concerning financial laws.
The Development and Liberation Bloc convenes and reaffirms the holding of a legislative session on Thursday. Speaker Nabih Berri meets MPs George Adwan and Ibrahim Kanaan to discuss the constitutionality of the session.
November 10
Head of the Marada Movement MP Suleiman Frangieh visits the Head of the Phalanges Party Sami Gemayyel and says there is no need to raise a dispute over the legislative session.
MP General Michel Aoun announces that the relations with Hezbollah are steadier than the temples of Baalbeck and lashes out at Joe Maalouf, the host of LBC’s Haki Jales (Straight Talk) program, promising decisive measures to be announced later today.
Heading Lebanon’s delegation, PM Tammam Salam leaves for Riyadh to attend the Summit of South American-Arab Countries. Salam voices support for a parliamentary session to run the affairs of the people and meets Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Future Movement announces after its meeting full support for the efforts exerted to convene the chamber.
Speaker Nabih Berri says in front of a Press Syndicate delegation that he is the father of constitutionality and that the legislative session’s agenda does not derail from the ‘legislation of necessity’.
November 11
Speaker Nabih Berri adjourns the 32nd session scheduled to elect a President of the Republic until January 2.
PM Tammam Salam returns to Beirut after having met the Saudi Crown Prince and the former PM Saad Hariri in Saudi Arabia.
LF leader Samir Geagea lauds the stance of Saad Hariri who has committed not to convene any legislative session where the electoral law is not included. Thus, the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement agree to attend the session while the Phalanges Party continues its boycott.
In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the Martyrs Day, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah calls for a holistic political settlement that would include the presidency of the republic, the government, the legislature and the electoral law.
Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdul Lahyan visits Speaker Nabih Berri during his visit to Lebanon and stresses that he will continue to work towards the election of a president as soon as possible.
November 12
Two suicide bombers blow themselves up in Burj El-Barajneh killing 43 people and injuring 239; ISIS claims accountability for the bombings.
Parliament convenes its first legislative session in a year and approves a number of laws including the Nationality Recovery and the Food Safety Laws. Street movements accompany the session including a protest rally by the Phalanges Party.
November 13
Parliament proceeds with its legislative session and passes the anti-money-laundering law and the law on fighting terrorism.
PM Tammam Salam chairs a ministerial security meeting at the Grand Serail.
The Burj El-Barajneh bombing draws massive condemnation and the victims are laid to rest in a number of regions in the South and Beqa’a.
November 14
Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq holds a press conference where he reveals the identity of the Syrian suicide bombers of Burj El-Barajneh and lauds the efforts of the Intelligence Branch in finding the masterminds behind the attack. Mashnouq adds that the Burj El-Barajneh bombings had been planned to take place at the Rasoul al-Aazam Hospital.
Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah renews calls for a comprehensive political settlement, noting that the Burj El-Barajneh attack was an attempt to trigger strife and put pressure on the resistance.
November 15
FPM candidate Antonio Hashem elected Head of the Beirut Bar Association.
November 16
The Phalanges Party and the Lebanese Forces report bewilderment over the government’s failure to convene under the critical present circumstances.
Former President Amine Gemayyel visits the Hague-based Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
Outraged after Internal Security Forces at a checkpoint asked him to pay outstanding fines or have his car impounded, a Palestinian taxi driver sets himself on fire close to the Salim Salam tunnel.
November 17
For security reasons, the National Dialogue table convenes its tenth session at Berri’s residence in Ain Tineh instead of the Parliament’s headquarters. The attendees agree to deport garbage and continue to explore ways to activate the work of institutions. The next dialogue session is scheduled for next Wednesday.
Security forces crack down on an apartment laden with explosives and suicide belt materials weighing around 250 kilograms in Tripoli.
The Future Movement describes Nasrallah’s talk as positive and hopes to crown it with the election of a president.

November 18
Parliament’s Bureau Committee convenes under the chairmanship of Speaker Nabih Berri and approves the formation of a ten-member parliamentary committee tasked with deliberating and approving a new parliamentary election draft law. The committee is to start activity in the beginning of December and discussions are to span for two months.
Security Forces arrest in Tripoli more suspects involved in the explosions of the Burj El-Barajneh or in the preparation for new bombings.
Beirut Governor, Judge Ziad Chbib, lights in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon, Emanuel Bonn, the Raouché Rock in Beirut with the Lebanese and French flag in solidarity with the victims of the two terrorist attacks carried out in Lebanon and France. The event coincided with a protest demanding the release of George Abdallah from the French prison.
The Permanent Military Court postpones the trial of Saja Dulaimi, ex-wife of ISIS chief Abou Bakr El-Baghdadi, until the 28th of December.

November 20
The Russian government notifies its Lebanese counterpart that the Russian Navy will be carrying out maneuvers for three days in the Mediterranean and requests it to halt air traffic and suspend flights at the Beirut Airport. The Lebanese government refuses to close its airspace but diverts the routes of certain flights.
Former President of the Republic Michel Suleiman visits Speaker Nabih Berri and calls for the election of a President before the approval of a new electoral law.
In his speech on Independence Day, Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji calls for deterring terrorism and maintaining civil peace.
November 21

Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil meets members of the diplomatic corps on the occasion of the Independence Day.
The March 14 Secretariat Coordinator, former MP Fares Souaid, visits Speaker Nabih Berri for the first time in ten years.
November 25
The National Dialogue table convenes its 11th session in Ain Tineh in the absence of General Michel Aoun. Discussions cover the activation of government’s work and the electoral law and MP Suleiman Frangieh reports that his nomination for presidency is serious but not yet official. Until the official announcement of his nomination, Frangieh assures that Michel Aoun remains the presidential candidate of March 8 Forces. The dialogue table schedules its next session for December 14.
In an interview with Al-Modon website, MP Walid Jumblatt says he does not mind the nomination of Suleiman Frangieh as a ‘compromise candidate’ in order to surmount the current presidential impasse.
Charges filed against a network of 26 people including 13 suspects implicated in the attack at Burj El-Barajneh.
November 26
Saudi Arabia blacklists 16 Hezbollah-members and freezes their financial assets in Saudi Arabia. Among them are Ali Moussa Daqdouq, Abdul Nour Shaalan, Adham Tabaja, Ibrahim Ouqial and Fouad Shukr.

November 27

November 29
Head of the Free Patriotic Movement Minister Gebran Bassil meets MP Suleiman Frangieh in Batroun and the discussions revolve around the nomination of Frangieh for presidency and Frangieh’s talks with Hariri in Paris.

November 30
In an interview with Russia Today, MP General Michel Aoun says he has not been notified about the agreement to nominate Suleiman Frangieh for presidency, adding it is not acceptable that former PM Saad Hariri is deciding who is fit to be a President of the Republic.
