Non-resident Lebanese voters
2.5% of total voters, with the majority voting for “FPM” and “LF”
The Parliamentary Electoral Law No. 44/2017 has fulfilled the dream of hundreds of Lebanese expatriates by giving them the right to vote in May 2018 elections from their place of residence, without the need to move to Lebanon whether at their own expense or at the expense of parties and candidates. But for various reasons, the participation was modest and lower than expected.
