North Lebanon’s Second District: Christian voters have decreased by 0.18%, Muslim voters have increased by 24.1%
The number of Christian registered voters in North Lebanon’s Second District (Trablous-Mennieh-Dennieh) has decreased from 37,986 in 2009 to 37,919 in 2017, i.e. by 0.18%. Armenian Catholic voters decreased by 6.3%, Greek Orthodox voters by 1%, whereas Maronite voters increased by 6.9%. As for Muslim voters, they have increased from 245,783 in 2009 to 305,142 in 2017 (24.1%) as Sunni voters increased by 23.7% and Alawite voters by 30.5%. This indicates that the number of Muslim voters in North Lebanon’s Second District far exceeds the number of Christian voters, and thus it is a Muslim district.
