Beqa’a Third District: Christian voters have increased by 9.4%, Muslim voters by 22.5%

The number of Christian registered voters in Beqa’a Third District (Ba'albeck-Hermel) has increased from 37,930 in 2009 to 41,511 in 2017, i.e. by 9.4%. Greek Catholic voters have increased by 2.6%, Maronite voters by 9.3%, and the greatest increase was among Greek Orthodox voters (118%). As for Muslim voters, they have increased from 218,407 in 2009 to 267,486 in 2017 (22.5%) as Sunni voters increased by 21.4% and Shia’a voters by 22.7%
