Beqa’a Second District: Christian voters have increased by 1.8%, Muslim voters by 18.7%

The number of Christian registered voters in Beqa’a Second District has increased from 30,624 in 2009 to 31,247 in 2017, i.e. by 1.8%.  Maronite voters have increased by 1.6% and Greek Catholic voters by 0.65%, whereas Greek Orthodox voters have decreased by 0.43%. As for Muslim voters, they have increased from 92,365 in 2009 to 109,606 in 2017 (18.7%). Druze voters have increased by 12%, Sunni voters by 18.2%, and the greatest increase was among Shia’a voters (27.6%).
