By seat:

The Sunni seat in the district of Zahle attracted an all-out competition, with 17 candidates setting their eyes on it. Another 16 candidates are running for the Shia’a seat in the same district, while the third most contested seat is that assigned to the Greek Catholics in Matn and attracting 12 candidates. The Druze seat of the Baabda district also ranks third, along with the Shia’a seat in Jbeil. Fourth in the list with 11 running candidates are the Maronite seats of Tripoli and Akkar and the Greek Orthodox seat in Beirut 1.

The Greek Catholic seat of Beirut 1, the Greek Orthodox seat of the Marjeyoun-Hasbaya district and the Shia’a seat of the Western Beqa’a- Rashaya district drew mild electoral interest with only two candidates competing for each seat.
